Fumigation & Fogging Services Singapore

Need a fast knockdown of flying and crawling insects across a whole space? Fumigation and fogging treat large areas quickly and evenly — reaching the cracks, foliage and shaded corners where insects rest and that spot-spraying always misses. They’re ideal before an outdoor event, after an infestation, when preparing a newly renovated or handed-over unit, or for ongoing mosquito suppression around a property. Insect Out provides professional fogging and fumigation for homes, offices, F&B premises, event spaces and vehicles across Singapore, with a clear free quote up front.
Fogging vs fumigation: what’s the difference?
People often use the terms interchangeably, but they’re slightly different. Fogging disperses an insecticide as a fine fog or mist that drifts through a space and settles on surfaces and foliage — fast, visible, and excellent for knocking down adult mosquitoes and flying insects across gardens, void decks and large rooms. Fumigation in the strict sense uses a gaseous agent to penetrate an enclosed, sealed space or stored goods. For most homes, events and outdoor areas in Singapore, fogging is what’s needed; for sealed spaces or stored-product issues, we’ll advise the right method during assessment.
What we treat
- Mosquito fogging — reduces adult mosquitoes around homes, gardens, void decks and event spaces. Especially valuable in dengue-prone areas and during the wetter mosquito season. See our dedicated mosquito control page for the full programme.
- General insect fogging — flushes out and knocks down flying and crawling insects indoors and outdoors, including flies and other nuisance pests. Useful after a heavy infestation or before a deep clean.
- Car & vehicle fumigation — clears insects, odours and pests from car and vehicle interiors.
- Pre-event & pre-handover fogging — for functions, weddings, outdoor gatherings, renovations and new units, so the space is comfortable and pest-free before people move in or arrive.
How it works
- Assessment — we identify the target pest, the size and type of the space, and the areas that need treating, then choose the right method and timing.
- Fogging / fumigation — thermal or ULV (cold) fogging applied to the right zones. Thermal fogging produces a dense visible fog that’s effective outdoors and in dense foliage; ULV fogging produces a fine, near-invisible mist better suited to indoor and sensitive areas.
- Aftercare advice — we tell you the ventilation timing and when it’s safe to re-enter, and recommend prevention — including insect screens — so the pests don’t simply return.
When fogging is the right call
Fogging shines when you need a fast, broad knockdown: before an outdoor event, ahead of a property handover, after an infestation while a fuller treatment is arranged, or during a dengue cluster when adult mosquito numbers spike. It covers large and awkward areas — gardens, car parks, void decks, warehouses, event lawns — far faster than targeted treatment alone.
Why fogging needs a prevention plan
Here’s the honest part: fogging knocks down what’s flying right now, but it doesn’t last. It has little effect on eggs and larvae, and new insects emerge or fly in within days. For mosquitoes in particular, fogging without removing breeding sites is a short-term fix. For lasting results, pair fogging with:
- Source reduction — clearing the stagnant water mosquitoes breed in. See how to find mosquito breeding spots at home and how to prevent mosquito breeding.
- Exclusion — window and door insect screens that keep mosquitoes and flying insects out for good while your windows stay open.
- Ongoing mosquito control for properties that need sustained protection.
That combination — knock down, cut the source, seal the openings — is what turns a one-off fog into a genuinely pest-free space.
Where fogging is used
Because it covers ground quickly, fogging suits a wide range of settings across Singapore:
- Homes and gardens — knocking down mosquitoes and flying insects around landed properties, balconies and yards.
- Condos and HDB common areas — void decks, car parks, drains and landscaped areas where mosquitoes rest and breed.
- Event spaces — wedding lawns, outdoor functions, markets and gatherings, fogged ahead of time so guests aren’t bitten.
- Offices and commercial premises — warehouses, storerooms and back-of-house areas after an infestation or before reopening.
- Vehicles — clearing insects and odours from car interiors.
In every case we match the method (thermal vs ULV), the product and the timing to the space and the target pest, and brief you on ventilation and re-entry before we start.
