Who are we?
We are parents with young children. Like all good parents, we want to provide the best for them, so they will grow up healthy; we want to do everything we can to protect them from harm.
How it got started?
In 2015, Singapore experienced a Dengue epidemic. Our areas were among the Dengue Hotspots, so naturally we wanted to ensure there are no Aedes mosquitos in our house.
But we faced a dilemma: If we closed our windows, we felt suffocated as a result of poor air ventilation. If we opened them, mosquitoes entered the house, especially during dusk.
We tried countless Preventive measures…
We used all kinds of mosquito repellents, insecticides and Mopiko creams. We even contemplated installing air-conditioning to the entire house!
We came across a brand of Insect Screen Window Mesh that could solve our problems by magically sealing the windows, however it is very expensive.
We wondered: “There must be a better solution …”
We found a Cheaper, Better Solution
After much searching, we discovered a cheaper Magnetic Insect Screen that’s just as good! The system is modular and the cost of installing it is much lower than what was then commercially available. And so we proceeded with this other magnetic insect screen product. And though it does not have celebrity endorsement and heavy media marketing, it worked just as well to block out mosquito, lizard, cockroach and other creepy crawlies and even ashes from burnt offerings!
As we do that, we realized that we can help many more people if we make this product available to other families in our same situation here in Singapore.
And that’s the story of how we founded InsectOut!
Sharing Benefits of Our Magnetic Insect Screen
We benefited from our Magnetic Insect Screen. This is indeed a piece of mesh that gives us peace of mind. It keeps Mozzies out, lets fresh air in.
We feel this is a necessity that every home ought to have (we are confident that it can many years with proper care). It certainly makes a great investment.
And we learnt something else. Many cat owners also need a low cost (cheap) solution to keep their cats safe at home. Our magnetic window mesh is able to do this (when installed on existing window grills) and we now have many customers who use our insect screen as a pet screen / pet mesh too!
